Perhaps my garden karma isn't so bad after all.
For one thing, none of my herbs seem to have died. More importantly, the fuschia plants on the front porch show signs of sticking around (including making buds for new flowers)... and a hummingbird has even stopped to visit them a few times during the last few days. Yay!
