Oh, I am being such a bad diarist. I haven't written an entry for almost two weeks. Aside from a few entries around the middle of the month, there weren't that many entries for July either. I am definitely failing in my efforts to document the things that are happening... while being unflinching in my conviction that a diarist should be able to write as much or as little as she (or he) wants.
So what has been happening? It's wedding season. Mrs. Geek and I attended a family wedding about two weeks ago, and are driving to a nearby state to attend another one this weekend. In fact, Mrs. Geek and I spent Tuesday touring wineries with relatiaves passing through here on the way to that wedding. There is also a flurry of legal paperwork around us right now. Mrs. Geek and I are getting wills, powers of attorney, and other estate documents together. My mom did finally buy a turntable -- a brand new Technics table from Amazon.com that is probably not my first choice (I would have looked harder at something from eBay), but a solid choice none the less. I wish her luck with it.
Mostly, I am just stressed and tired. Work is go, go, go. While there has been progress on several technical issues I am working on, the pace is taking its toll on me. My whole body sense is out of whack... I feel like I am lugging around a lifeless, passionless suit of flesh. I seem to be sort of out to sea at the moment, just looking for some solid ground to stand on.
