The wedding begins to loom large for Fiancee S. and myself. Craziness has therefore come knocking. Fiancee S. and I are trying to hang on to sanity as best we can.
The biggest development regarding our wedding is the guest list. Our combined guest lists add up to something like 290 people. Figuring that at least 2/3 of the people we invited would show up, we planned on having a small, intimate reception for a mere 200. The reception room we found holds up to 250 guests, and the contract says we have to pay for at least 175 people to hold the room. Thing is, it looks like a little over half the people we invited are going to show up. Our guest list stands at about 160 confirmed guests, and it looks like the father of the bride will have to pay for 15 people who aren't going to show up.
We've also hit another rough spot. Fiancee S. planned to give wedding guests wrapped boxes of fine chocolate as a party favor. Given all the end of school year madness she's been experiencing lately however, the call to actually order said wrapped boxes of chocolate was never made. It also appears that it is too late to make such an order. So, we may be buying chocolate, little bags, and finding some helpers to assemble the favors ourselves. Hopefully they will be helpers who will not "lose" too much chocolate due to "settling" during the assembly process.
